किश्त भुगतान पद्धति (Instalment Payment System)

किश्त भुगतान पद्धति का आशय

(Meaning of Instalement Payment System)

किश्त भुगतान पद्धति बिक्री की एक ऐसी पद्धति है जिसके अन्तर्गत माल के क्रेता को माल का स्वामित्व बिक्री के समय ही हस्तान्तरित हो जाता है और विक्रय मूल्य का भुगतान सुनिश्चित किश्तों द्वारा किया जाता है। यदि क्रेता किसी कारण किसी किश्त का भुगतान करने में असमर्थ होता है, तो विक्रेता माल वापस लेने का अधिकारी नहीं होता है अपितु केवल अदत्त धनराशि के लिये क्रेता पर दावा कर सकता है।

जे० आर० बॉटलीबाय के अनुसार, “किश्त भुगतान पद्धति के अन्तर्गत माल खरीदे जाने पर उसी समय माल क्रेता की सम्पत्ति हो जाता है, जिस समय उसकी सुपुर्दगी मिलती है।”

किश्त भुगतान पद्धति की विशेषतायें

(Characteristics of Instalment Payment System)

किश्त भुगतान पद्धति की प्रमुख विशेषतायें निम्नलिखित हैं :

(1) माल की उधार बिक्री होती है अर्थात् मूल्य का पूर्ण भुगतान बिक्री के समय नहीं होता है। (2) विक्रय मूल्य का किश्तों में भुगतान किया जाता है।

(3) विक्रय अनुबन्ध के समय ही माल की सुपुर्दगी क्रेता को हो जाती है।

(4) विक्रय अनुबन्ध के पश्चात् माल पर क्रेता का स्वामित्व हो जाता है।

(5) किश्त के भुगतान की त्रुटि होने पर विक्रेता को अदत्त धनराशि के लिये क्रेता पर दावा करने का अधिकार तो होता है, लेकिन विक्रेता माल वापस प्राप्त करने का अधिकारी नहीं होता है।

(6) सम्पूर्ण किश्तों का भुगतान करने से पूर्व क्रेता द्वारा माल का अन्य पक्ष को हस्तान्तरण करना वैध है अर्थात् वह उसे बेच सकता है या गिरवी रख सकता है, ऐसी स्थिति में तीसरे पक्षकार को श्रेष्ठ स्वत्वाधिकार प्राप्त हो जाता है।

किश्त भुगतान पद्धति में विभिन्न किश्तों की धनराशियों में ब्याज एवं रोकड़ मूल्य दोनों सम्मिलित होते हैं, अतः लेखे करने से पहले गणना सारणी (Calculation Table) बनाकर प्रत्येक किश्त की धनराशि में सम्मिलित ब्याज तथा रोकड़ मूल्य की धनराशि पहले गुण गीतीक उसी प्रकार से बनाते हैं, जैसे किराया-क्रय पद्धति में बनाते हैं। गणना सारणी बनाने के बाद क्रेता निकालते हैं। गणना सारणी ठीक उसी प्रकार से बनाते हैं. और विक्रेता की पुस्तकों में निम्न प्रकार लेखे किये जाते हैं :

(1) माल की सुपुर्दगी प्राप्त करने पर, रोकड़ मूल्य (Cash Price) से सम्पत्ति खाता डेबिट, कुल ब्याज की धनराशि से ब्याज । उचन्त खाता डेबिट और कुल विक्रय-मूल्य से विक्रेता खाता क्रेडिट किया जाता है  Asset Account                               Dr. (Cash Price of Assets)

(2) सुपुर्दगी के समय भुगतान की धनराशि से विक्रेता खाता डेबिट और रोकड़ खाता या बैंक खाता क्रेडिट किया जाता है :

विक्रेता की पुस्तकों में लेखे (Accounting in the Books of Vendor) : विक्रेता की पुस्तकों में निम्न लेखे किये जाते हैं :

(1) बिक्री के समय कुल विक्रय मूल्य से क्रेता खाता डेबिट, माल के रोकड़ मूल्य से विक्रय खाता तथा कुल ब्याज की धनराशि से ब्याज उचन्त खाता क्रेडिट किया जाता है :

उदाहरण 1. 1 अप्रैल, 2006 को ममता ट्रांसपोर्ट कं० ने हिन्दुस्तान मोटर्स लि0 से एक ट्रक किश्त भुगतान पद्धति पर खरीदा। ट्रक का रोकड़ मूल्य 35,000 रु0 है। 15,909 रु0 का भुगतान क्रय की तिथि पर किया जाना है और शेष 11,000 रु0 प्रत्येक की दो समान वार्षिक किश्तों में प्रत्येक वर्ष के अन्त में किया जाना है। विक्रेता द्वारा 10% वार्षिक ब्याज लिया जाता है। रोकड़ मूल्य के घटते हुए शेष पर 20% की दर से ममता ट्रांसपोर्ट कं० ने हास लगाने का निश्चय किया। दोनों पक्षों की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक जर्नल प्रविष्टियाँ कीजिये।

On 1st April, 2006, Mamata Transport Co. purchased a Truck from Hindustan Motors Ltd. on Instalment Payment System. The Cash Price of Truck is Rs. 35,000. Rs. 15,909 is to be paid on the date of purchase and the balance in two Instalments of Rs. 11,000 each at the end of each year. 10% p.a. interest is charged by the Vendor. Mamta Transport Co. has decided to write off 20% Depreciation on the Diminishing Balance of the Cash Value. Pass necessary Journal Entries in the books of both Parties.

उदाहरण 2. 1 अप्रैल 2006 को एक्स लि ने किश्त भुगतान पद्धति पर एक मशीनरी खरीदी । मशीनरी का रोकडं मूल्य 14,900 है । भुगतान दो वर्षों में चार अर्द्धवर्षिक किश्तों में प्रत्येक 4,000 रु का होना है  पहली किश्त 30 दिसम्बर 2006 के देय थी । व्याज की दर 6% वार्षिक थी। एक्स लि ने 10% वार्षिक ह्रास अपलिखित किया और वह अपने खाते प्रत्येक वर्ष 30 सितम्बर को बन्द करता है। दोनों की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक खाते बनाइए।

X Ltd. purchased a Machinery on 1st April, 2006 on the Instalment Payment System. The Cash Price of the Machinery is Rs. 14,900. Payment is to be made in two years in four half-yearly Instalments of Rs. 4,000 each. The first Instalment was due on 30th September, 2006. Rate of Interest was 6% per annum. X Ltd. writes off Depreciation @ 10% per annum and closes its books on 30th September each year. Make the necessary Ledger Accounts in the Books of both the Parties.

Note : Calculations have been made to the nearest Rupee. Amount of Interest on Last Instalment is not calculated according to Rate of Interest. On Last Instalment. Amount of Interest = Amount of Last Instalment-Balance of Cash Price before the Last Instalment = Rs. 4,000 – 82 = Rs. 3,918.

उदाहरण 3. 1 अप्रैल, 2006 को x ने एक मशीनरी Y से किश्त भुगतान पद्धति पर क्रय की। शर्त यह थी कि प्रत्येक वर्ष 31 मार्च को 10,000 रु का भुगतान विक्रेता को करेगा, जिसमें रोकडं मूल्य के शेष पर 10% वार्षिक व्याज सम्मिलित है । ऐसी ही तीन वर्षों में तीन किश्तें दी गयीं। यह निश्चय किया गया कि घटते शेष पद्धति पर आधारित प्रत्येक वर्ष मशीनरी पर 20% वार्षिक हास लगाया जाये। रोकड़ मूल्य निर्धारित कीजिये और दोनों पक्षों की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक खाते खोलिए।

X purchased a Machinery from Y on Instalment Payment System on 1st April, 2006. The term was that on 31st March each year a payment of Rs. 10,000 has be to made to the Vendor, which includes interest @ 10% on the balance of Cash Price due and so for three years completing the payment in three instalments. It was decided to depreciate the Machinery @ 20% p.a., on Reducing Balance Method. Ascertain the Cash Price and open necessary Accounts in the Books of both the Parties

हास क्रमागत हास पद्धति से 20% प्रतिवर्ष दर से निकाला जाता है। A’ और विक्रेता की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक खाते बनाइए।

On 1st April, 2004 ‘A’ purchased a Motor Car on Instalment Payment System. The Cash Price of Motor Car was Rs. 2,50,000 and the Interest was to be calculated @ 10% p.a. The Instalments are to be paid as follows:

31st March, 2005           Rs. 75,000

31st March, 2006           Rs. 75,000

31st March, 2007           Rs. 75,000

31st March, 2008           Rs. 92,950

Depreciation is be calculated at 20% p.a., on Diminishing Balance Method. Show the necessary Ledger Accounts in the Books of ‘A’ and Vendor.

उदाहरण 5 न्यू ट्रांस्पोर्ट कम्पनी ने 1 अप्रैल 2005 को क ट्रक किश्त भुगतान पद्दति पर खरीदा । ट्रक का नकद मूल्य 7,45,000 रु था और भुगतान निम्न प्रकार होना था :

अनुबन्ध हस्ताक्षर करते समय 2,00,000 रु का भुगतान किया जाना था और शेष 2,00,000 रु प्रत्येक की तीन किश्तों में होना है जो प्रत्येक वर्ष के अन्त में देय है। विक्रेता द्वारा 5% वार्षिक ब्याज लिया जाता है। वार्षिक शेष पर 1% की दर से विक्रेता द्वारा क्रेता से बीमा प्रीमियम ली जाती है और यह किश्त के साथ भुगतान की जाती है। कम्पनी द्वारा क्रमागत हास पद्धति से प्रतिवर्ष 10% की दर से हास लगाया जाता है। न्यू ट्रांसपोर्ट कम्पनी की पुस्तकों में विक्रेता खाता और विक्रेता की पुस्तकों में न्यू ट्रांसपोर्ट कम्पनी का खाता बनाइये।

On 1st April, 2005 New Transport Co. bought a Truck on Instalment Payment System. The Cash Price of the Truck was Rs. 7,45,000 and payment was to be made as follows:

Rs. 2,00,000 was to be paid on signing the agreement and the balance in three Instalments of Rs. 2.00,000 each at the end of each year. Interest is charged by the Vendor @ 5% per annum. Insurance Premium is charged @ 1% on annual balance by the Vendor and it is payable with each annual Instalment. The Company has decided to write off Depreciation @ 10% annually on the Diminishing Balance Method. Show Vendor’s Account in the Books of New Transport Co. and New Transport Co.’s Account in the Books of Vendor.

उदाहरण 6 x लि से प्रतीक ने एक प्लाण्ट 22,730 रु में किश्त भुगतान पद्दति पर क्रय किया । प्रथम किश्त पद्धति सुपुर्दगी के समय से शेष  भुगतान चार बराबर की वार्षिक किश्तों में होना है । X लि0 5% वार्षिक दर से घटती पद्धति से लगाया जाता है । प्रतीक की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक खाते बनाइये। एक रुपये का वर्तमान मूल्य किश्त पाँच वर्षो के लिये 5% प्रति वर्ष व्याज की दर से  वार्षिकी तालिका के अनुसार 4.5460 रु है । सभी किश्तों की धनराशियाँ प्रथम भुगतान सहित बराबर की हैं।

Prateek purchased a Plant for Rs. 22,730 from X Ltd. on Instalment Payment System. First payment is to be done at the time of taking delivery of the Plant and the remaining payment is to be done in four equal annual Instalments. X Ltd. charges interest @ 5% annually. Depreciation is to be charged @ 10% annually on Reducing Balance Method. Prepare necessary Accounts in the Books of Prateek. The Present Value of Rupee One invested at the beginning of each year for 5 years @ 5% annually according to Annuity Value Table is Rs. 4.5460. All the Instalments amount including the first payment are of equal value.

उदाहरण 7  मिस्टर रमेंश ने 1 अप्रैल 2005 को एक टैक्टर 22,000 रु में क्रय किया । मोहन फाइनेन्स ने इस क्रय के लिए वित्त प्रदान किया । मिस्टर रमेश ने उनको 4,000 रु 1 अप्रैल 2005 को दिए और प्रत्येक वर्ष के अन्त में 6,000 रु( व्याज सहित ) की किश्तों देनी थी ।

1 अप्रैल, 2007 को ट्रैक्टर 7,810 रु में बेचा गया और उसी दिन  मोहन फाइनेन्स के ऋण का भुगतान हो गया । रमेश की पुस्तकों में ट्रैक्टर खाता और मोहन फाइनेन्स कॉरपोरेशन का खाता खोलिए। ह्रास क्रमागत हास पद्धति से 10% प्रतिवर्ष की दर से निकालिए और ब्याज की दर 5% प्रति वर्ष मान लीजिए।

Mr. Ramesh purchased a Tractor for Rs. 22,000 on 1st April, 2005. The Mohan Finance Corporation financed for this purchase. Mr. Ramesh pays them Rs. 4,000 on 1st April., 2005 and Instalments, inclusive of Interest, of Rs. 6,000 at the end of each year.

On 1st April, 2007, the Tractor was sold for Rs. 7,810 only, and the debt of the Mohan Finance Corporation was discharged on that date.

Show the Tractor Account and the Account of Mohan Finance Corporation in the Ledger of Mr. Ramesh. Allow Depreciation @ 10% per annum on the Diminishing Balance Method and assume Interest @ 5% per annum.

उदाहरण 8. शरद लिमिटेड ने एक ट्रक 1 जनवरी, 2007 को सुशील लिमिटेड से किश्त भुगतान पद्धति पर क्रय किया। रोकड़ मूल्य 30,000 रु० था। क्रय की शर्ते निम्नांकित थीं :

(i) 12,000 रु० तुरन्त दिए जायें। (ii) शेष धनराशि 12 तिमाही किश्तों में, जिनमें प्रत्येक 1,920 रु0 की है, दी जानी है। पहली किश्त 1 अप्रैल, 2007 को देय होती है। शरद लिमिटेड का वित्तीय वर्ष प्रत्येक वर्ष 30 जून को समाप्त होता है। 30 सितम्बर, 2008 को ट्रक 20,000 रु0 में बेची गई और बकाया की किश्तों के लिये 10,200 रु0 में समझौता होता है। शरद लिमिटेड सम्पत्ति खाता रोकड़ मूल्य से खोलती है और ब्याज को समान रूप से किश्तों की अवधि में फैलाती है। लागत मूल्य पर 20% प्रति वर्ष की | दर से बिक्री की तिथि तक के लिए हास निकाला गया। शरद लिमिटेड की पुस्तकों में ट्रक खाता, सुशील लिमिटेड का खाता और ब्याज उचन्त खाता बनाइये।

Sharad Lid purchased a Truck on 1st January, 2007 on Instalment Payment System from Susheel Ltd. The Cash Price was Rş. 30,000. The terms of purchase were as under:

(Ó Amount of Rs. 12,000 is paid immediately. (ii) Balance being payable by 12 quarterly Instalments of Rs. 1.920 each, first instalment falls due on 1st April, 2007. The financial year of Sharad Ltd. ends on out une edeh year. On 30th September, 2008 the Truck was sold for Rs. 20,000 and the balance of Instalements wás séttled for Rs. 10,200. Sharad Ltd. opens the Asset Account at Cash Price and spreads the au fost equally pver the period of Instalments. Depreciation at 20% per annum on Cost Price was provided to the date of safe. Show the Truck Account, Susheel Ltd.’s Account and Interest Suspense Account in she Books of Sharad Ltd. :

उदाहरण 9 अप्रैल , 2006 को एक मशीन किश्त भुगतान पद्दति पर क्रय की गई । इसका नकद मूल्य 1,00,000 रु है । 20,000 रु उसी नकद दिये गये और शेष राशि चार बराबर कि तिमाही किश्तों मे दी गई । जिसमें प्रत्येक किश्त 22,000 रु० की है। प्रत्येक किश्त में शेष बकाया पर ब्याज शामिल है।

प्रत्येक किश्त में शामिल ब्याज मालूम कीजिये और क्रेता की पुस्तकों में विक्रेता का खाता खोलिए।

The Cash Price of a Machine which is sold on Instalment Payment System on 1st April, 2006 is Rs. 1,00,000. Rs. 20,000 were paid Cash Down and the balance in four equal quarterly Instalments of Rs. 22.000 each. Each Instalment includes interest on outstanding balance.

Find out the Interest included in each Instalment and open Vendor’s Account in the Books of Purchaser.

नोट : यदि प्रश्न में किश्तें असमान हैं अथवा किश्तों के बीच की समय अवधि असमान है, अथवा दोनों ही असमान हैं, तो इसी विधि का प्रयोग करना चाहिये।

उदाहरण 10. A ने 1 जनवरी, 2005 को B से एक मशीनरी किस्त भुगतान पद्धति पर क्रय की। 5,000 रु0 उसी समय कर दिये और पाँच-पाँच हजार रु० की तीन वार्षिक किस्तें और भुगतान करनी हैं। प्रति वर्ष 31 दिसम्बर को देय किस्त का भगतान अगले वर्ष 1 जनवरी को किया जाना है। मशीनरी का रोकड़ मूल्य 20,000 रु0 है। B किस्त की धनराशि के अतिरिक्त ८० प्रति वर्ष की दर से ब्याज, 2% प्रति वर्ष की दर से बीमा प्रीमियम A से लेता है। B देनदारों पर 10% की दर से अप्राप्य एवं संदिग्ध ऋणों के लिये प्रावधान करता है। A और B की पुस्तकों में आवश्यक खाते बनाइये। स्थायी प्रभाग प्रणाली से 10% प्रति वर्ष की दर से हास अपलिखित किया जाना है। चिट्टे में व्यक्तिगत खाता और ब्याज उचन्त खाता भी दिखाइये।

A purchased Machinery from B on 1st January, 2005 on Instalment Payment System. Rs. 5,000 were paid immediately and the balance is payable in three further annual Instalments of Rs. 5,000 each. The amount of Instalment payable at 31st December each year is to be paid on 1st January in the next year. Cash Price of the Machinery is Rs. 20,000. B charges Interest @ 5% p.a., and Insurance Premium @ 2% p.a., from A in addition to the amount of Instalment. B creates a Provision for Bad and Doubtful Debts @ 10% on Debtors. Prepare necessary Accounts in the Books of A and B. Depreciation @ 10% p.a., is written off on Fixed Instalment Method. Prepare Balance Sheet showing Personal Account and Interest Suspense Account.

 उदाहरण 11. 1 अप्रैल, 2004 को मि० पलक एक ट्रक मि० प्रतीक को किश्त भुगतान पद्धति पर बेचता है जिसका नकद मूल्य 1,00,000 रु० है। यह धनराशि मिल पलक को चार बराबर की वार्षिक किश्तों में शेष धनराशि पर 12% वार्षिक ब्याज के साथ देय है। प्रथम किश्त की धनराशि विक्रय की तिथि पर देय है। 1 अप्रैल, 2004 से मि० प्रतीक 3,000 रु० प्रति माह किराये पर मि० पलक को ट्रक किराये पर देता है।

इस तरह किराये की धनराशि प्रत्येक वर्ष के अन्त में उस धनराशि से समायोजित करनी है जो कि मूलधन और ब्याज के रूप में मि० पलक को देय होती है। यदि कोई धनराशि ऐसा करने से बचती है, तो इसका भुगतान अगले वर्ष की प्रथम तारीख को नकदी में किया जाना है।

मि० प्रतीक ट्रक पर 20% वार्षिक की दर से क्रमागत हास प्रणाली के आधार पर हास काटता है। सभी भुगतान ठहराव के आधार पर कर दिये जाते हैं। मि० प्रतीक 1 अप्रैल, 2007 को मि० पलक को ट्रक 15,000 रु० में नकदी में बेच देता हैं।

मि० प्रतीक पुस्तकों में ट्रक खाता, मि० पलक का खाता, ब्याज खाता, ब्याज सन्देह खाता एवं किराया व्यय खाता बनाइये।

On 1st April, 2004 Mr. Palak sells a Truck to Mr. Prateek an Instalment Payment Method of which Cash Price is Rs. 1,00,000. This amount is payable to Mr. Palak in 4 equal annual Instalments along with Interest @ 12% yearly on the outstanding balance. The 1st Instalment is payable on the date of sale.
