ट्रक शहर से माल लाता-ले-जाता है, जिसकी दूरी 50 मील है। बाहर ले जाने पर भाड़ा पूर्ण क्षमता का प्राप्त हो जाता है, लौटते समय भाड़ा क्षमता का 20% ही मिल पाता है। यह मानते हुये कि ट्रक औसतन माह में 25 दिन चलता है, ज्ञात कीजिये
(अ) प्रति टन मील की परिचालन लागत,
(ब) यदि कम्पनी भाड़े पर 50% लाभ प्राप्त करना चाहती है तो प्रति खेप पर प्रति टन क्या दर चार्ज करेगी?

The truck carries goods to and from the city covering a distance of 50 miles way. On outward trip freight is available to the extent of full capacity and on return 20% of capacity. Assuming that the truck runs on an average 25 days a month, work out:
(a) Operating cost per tonne-mile,
(b) Rate per tonne per trip that the company should charge if a profit of 50% on freight is to be earned .
